Consumer watchdog group Public Citizen, advised that patients wait at least 7 more years for further testing could be done on Onglyza to verify it is not causing serious and dangerous side effects. The FDA said that patients should not stop taking Onglyza but they should contact their doctor if they experience this joint pain.
